6th Annual Free Intro to Hockey Clinic
FREE GIRLS AND BOYS INTRO TO HOCKEY CLINIC
September 18th, 19th and 20th - At the Rochester Arena
Clinic Overview:
Rochester Youth Hockey (RYH) is pleased to be hosting our 6th annual Free Intro to Hockey Clinic. This clinic offers children, ages 4 thru 8, who have never played hockey before, an opportunity to try this great sport. Our goal is to give the children a fun first-time hockey experience while still learning fundamental skills.
The clinic is limited to 50 participants and will provide FREE use of all equipment including skates, stick and a jersey.
On-ice instruction is led by RYH Coaches and will include fun activities to get the children comfortable on the ice.
RYH Board Members will be at the arena, throughout the clinic, to answer any questions that you may have about the clinic, hockey in general or about any of the 2015/2016 RYH programs that we offer.
As in previous years, we had a strong turnout in 2014 and many of the first time players used their new hockey skills to progress onto higher level teams. RYH strongly believes that the Intro Program gives first-time players a solid foundation and confidence to advance.
Clinic Dates, Times & Schedule:
Friday, September 18th
5:00PM to 6:00PM: Pre-registration
6:00PM to 6:50PM: On-ice instruction led by RYH Coaches
Pizza Party immediately following the ice session
Saturday, September 19th
1:30PM to 2:20PM: On-ice instruction led by RYH Coaches
Sunday, September 20th
11:00AM to 11:50AM: On-ice instruction led by RYH Coaches
During and after the last session, registration will be open for RYH program sign ups
Who can attend?
Boys and girls ages 4-8 who are new to hockey.
Cost?
IT’S FREE!! We do, however, ask for a $170 deposit for the Learn-to-play EQUIPMENT package provided by RYH.
If after the clinic your child joins RYH, you simply keep the equipment. If your child does not sign up for a
RYH program, the $170 Deposit will be returned once all equipment has been returned to RYH.
If you only need certain equipment, the deposit will be adjusted accordingly.

Once your child is on the list, you will receive additional information,
including the schedule for your child’s equipment fitting.
